I like when the world is quiet,
Which it seldom seems to be.
Oft discordant.
Oft too loud.
Plagued by warmongers' hate speech.
Anti-everything,
Anti-you and anti-me.
This is the world that I've grown up in:
A world that knows no peace.
I am old enough to understand this,
Old enough to know what it means.
I am young enough to change it,
To stand apart in peaceful mutiny.
I will not acquiesce to the status quo of war,
For I like when the world is quiet.
